Happy New Year

Merry Christmas (so late) and a Happy New Year! We enjoyed our small family Christmas here at the house. After presents were opened it was just a full day of playing with all the new toys and eating all the yumnmy treats in the stockings. It was our first Christmas here in Okinawa and not spent with our families since Nico was born. So it was different, but I know that in a few years we will get to spend the holidays with our families again. Skype helped fill the void of having the fam here in person. And even though we celebrated on different days (thank you time difference), it was great.

New Years was also spent in the house. Gotta love having kiddos! :) We had one of our friends over and enjoyed a few drinks while waiting for the clock to strike 12. As soon as that happened they went on home and I hit the sack. Makes me feel so old. I swear, my 3 year old could last longer than me.

With the holidays, and birthdays, we had this past month my work-out schedule was pretty much all over the place. If I could get to the gym I would, if I could run I would, and when I found the time I snuck in P90X here and there. With that being said-it was not steady! And I am pretty disappointed in that. I did not gain any weight, and have the same measurements, but wish I could have had more time. (Don't we all!)

So, today I figured I would get back on track. The hubs went back to work today, so I figured our routine would as well. Wrong! Little Miss Bella is now teething. So sleep is a thing of the past. And so dearly missed. Her naps are not consistent, and she ofter wakes throughout the night. So soon after she finally started to sleep through the night! As I started my workout of the day-Core Synergistic-I heard cries from her room. And here I thought she had been asleep. So I let it go for a few minutes to see if it would stop. No luck. I get her up, rock her, try again...and nothing. So the swing it was. She was finally content and I snuck back into my room for round 2. I got 30 minutes more into the video and she decided she didn't like being alone anymore. So even though I didn't get to finish the entire video I still feel more accomplished than I have as of late. And my abs, ass, and legs sure do hurt! In fact, I am surprised it was that hard! I guess taking a break like I did really put me back.

So...I will just keep going and eventually get to a level I like. The only way I will get better is if I find a way to keep at it every day, and stop missing days in a row. Wish me luck!
