STATurday (Late!)

I realize it is not Saturday. I had a very hectic weekend dealing with the two crazies. I missed my workout on Friday and was going to make it up on Saturday..but that did not happen. Neither did any nap times for the kids. It was a looong day. Izzy is teething and may have had a stomach virus. She was throwing up and had way too many diaper changes that day. She does have three teeth coming in, one of which is a molar, so I am wondering if it was from that or just a bug. Sunday we got in a short nap for Nico and Izzy and they got to talk to Daddy on the phone! I did my stretching and I actually did my measurments.

This weeks results are..
Weight: 215
Chest: 41
Waist: 36.75
Arm: 12.5
Thigh: 26

AGAIN! I gained weight. I would love to blame this on Mother Nature. Or the Cortisol Effect. Whatever one is actually responsible!!! I hate seeing the numbers go up, but I am still happy to see the inches go down. I am really hoping that by the end of Week 4 I start seeing pretty dramatic differences.

All in all, I feel good and that's all that matters. I feel like my clothes are getting looser and love it! I am still having to modify throughout the workouts in a few places, but hope to be able to finish a full workout with no modifications by the end of the program. Pretty realistic I think.

STATurday!

I survived week one!! I "barely made it" every day this week. And I still felt pretty damn good putting the check in the box at the end of each workout.

Every Saturday of the T25 challenge is when you weight and measure yourself. When I first stepped on the scale this morning I was a bit dissapointed, but my measurments made me feel a lot better. I realize it is only one week in, and I know there are a few things I need to addust in my diet. I will explain more on my diet in a bit.

My beginning stats are...
Weight: 212.4
Chest: 41"
Waist: 37.5"
Arms: 13"
Thighs: 27"

My week 1 stats are...
Weight: 213.6
Chest: 42"
Waist: 37"
Arms: 12.5"
Thighs: 25.5"

So as you can see, I gained one pound and I also gained an inch in my chest. I'm not even going to complain about the chest, I actually love that. Hopefully I'll get some nice boobs from this! lol I'm all about a free boob job! I am the only one in my family that wasn't "blessed".

The thing that I was not surprised with was the loss in my legs. These workouts are killer! I feel it every day, and feel muscles I didn't even know I had when I am working out. I expected to have at least half an inch loss on my legs, but 1.5 inches was amazing!

I felt like the workout I struggled with the most this week was the Ab Intervals. I have NO abs. None. And that one killed me. But I tried to do everything the best I could and my goal is to be able to go through the video smoothly by the end of the program. I am not expecting a six pack, I know that would take a miracle. I just want to be able to do it, and not die. :)

As far as my diet is concerned I have a lot of improvements that could be made. But who doesn't. My biggest struggle is not eating enough. I am not taking in enough calories throughout the day for my body. I spoke with a nutrition specialist about this and have a new plan to try this week. I am going to forgo the shakes and actually eat a meal. I may have to force myself..but it's all worth it to become a healthier me.

I also need to increase my carbohydrates intake. I have been limiting those a lot. Too much. And what really made me realize this was my sweat. Yes, sweat. My sweat was starting to smell like amonia. I don't have a cat and that really threw me for a loop at first. I had no idea my sweat could smell that way! So I began to research. I found this article on bodybuilding.com and instantly knew it was the carbs becauseI have been drinking at least a gallon of water a day. I love learning new things!

I will be taking progress photos at the end of the Alpha phase and the completion of the program. Here are my beginning photos.
