STATurday!

I survived week one!! I "barely made it" every day this week. And I still felt pretty damn good putting the check in the box at the end of each workout.

Every Saturday of the T25 challenge is when you weight and measure yourself. When I first stepped on the scale this morning I was a bit dissapointed, but my measurments made me feel a lot better. I realize it is only one week in, and I know there are a few things I need to addust in my diet. I will explain more on my diet in a bit.

My beginning stats are...
Weight: 212.4
Chest: 41"
Waist: 37.5"
Arms: 13"
Thighs: 27"

My week 1 stats are...
Weight: 213.6
Chest: 42"
Waist: 37"
Arms: 12.5"
Thighs: 25.5"

So as you can see, I gained one pound and I also gained an inch in my chest. I'm not even going to complain about the chest, I actually love that. Hopefully I'll get some nice boobs from this! lol I'm all about a free boob job! I am the only one in my family that wasn't "blessed".

The thing that I was not surprised with was the loss in my legs. These workouts are killer! I feel it every day, and feel muscles I didn't even know I had when I am working out. I expected to have at least half an inch loss on my legs, but 1.5 inches was amazing!

I felt like the workout I struggled with the most this week was the Ab Intervals. I have NO abs. None. And that one killed me. But I tried to do everything the best I could and my goal is to be able to go through the video smoothly by the end of the program. I am not expecting a six pack, I know that would take a miracle. I just want to be able to do it, and not die. :)

As far as my diet is concerned I have a lot of improvements that could be made. But who doesn't. My biggest struggle is not eating enough. I am not taking in enough calories throughout the day for my body. I spoke with a nutrition specialist about this and have a new plan to try this week. I am going to forgo the shakes and actually eat a meal. I may have to force myself..but it's all worth it to become a healthier me.

I also need to increase my carbohydrates intake. I have been limiting those a lot. Too much. And what really made me realize this was my sweat. Yes, sweat. My sweat was starting to smell like amonia. I don't have a cat and that really threw me for a loop at first. I had no idea my sweat could smell that way! So I began to research. I found this article on bodybuilding.com and instantly knew it was the carbs becauseI have been drinking at least a gallon of water a day. I love learning new things!

I will be taking progress photos at the end of the Alpha phase and the completion of the program. Here are my beginning photos.
