I feel like I'm gonna fall into the toilet

Day 1 done!

Today marks day nĂºmero uno for T25. I made it through the workout with only having to use the modifications for a couple of the exercises. My calves were just done. They were hard and in knots. But hey, I don't think modifying it was bad at all! It's there for a reason! And I was just happy that I didn't stop. 25 minutes of straight moving. That's a win.

Since Joel left for training it's been hard to run. We have a co-op here that I am part of, but running in 100+ degrees?? No sir. Can't do it. I like waking up early, forcing myself to lace up my shoes, and watching the sun come up as I'm headed back from my run. That's why I decided to do the T25. It will only help me be a better runner anyway.

I was like a kid at Christmas waiting for that package to come in the mail. When it finally got here I ripped it open, with the help of lil man of course, and started reading away! Even though it got here two days ago, and I couldn't wait to get it, I just couldn't bring myself to actually workout yesterday. I think I was scared. 25 minutes sounds amazing! But then I started thinking...what did I get myself into! If Insanity was an average 45 minute workout that I could barely do, and it had breaks, how much was actually crammed into that small 25 minute window..but this morning I knew the only way to find out was to put it in and press play.

Now, going to the bathroom sucks. Picking toys up off the floor sucks. Standing up from sitting down or vice versa...sucks. My legs hurt. My butt hurts. And I am tired! I know tomorrow it will feel worse, but I think it's making me actually look forward to my workout! That way I get the blood flowing again and my muscles will get nice and stretched. Just gotta keep going... I will post my beginning measurements by the end of the week and can't wait to have my final results to compare them to.

Fresh Outlook

Everyone has their days. You know, the ones where you feel amazing..and the ones where you just don't. Well this morning was one of those days for me. I woke up feeling like a cow. Just fat. It happens sometimes. But I started looking through my pictures again.. This helps me get out of my funk. I looked back to when I was pregnant with my son. THAT was fat. Then I looked back to before I was pregnant. That is where I want to be. And I will.

What I fail to realize often times is that while I may not be back to my pre-pregnancy weight, I have certianly come far from my post pregnancy weight! The week I had my son I weighed 276 pounds. When I found out I was pregnant I weighed 170. Big difference. Today I am 212. Still a big difference, but it's better than before. I only gained about 15 pounds with my daughter and lost that a week after having her. I learned my lesson the hard way with my son.

So while I may still be "big" now. In my eyes..and others. I know that I have come a long way. And I need to focus on that when I'm having a bad day. And just keep going!

This was before I was pregnant. My goal.
This one was a month before I had my son. I have no pictures after this.
And this is me now. Trying. Struggling. And trying to make my goals a reality.

Happy New Year

Merry Christmas (so late) and a Happy New Year! We enjoyed our small family Christmas here at the house. After presents were opened it was just a full day of playing with all the new toys and eating all the yumnmy treats in the stockings. It was our first Christmas here in Okinawa and not spent with our families since Nico was born. So it was different, but I know that in a few years we will get to spend the holidays with our families again. Skype helped fill the void of having the fam here in person. And even though we celebrated on different days (thank you time difference), it was great.

New Years was also spent in the house. Gotta love having kiddos! :) We had one of our friends over and enjoyed a few drinks while waiting for the clock to strike 12. As soon as that happened they went on home and I hit the sack. Makes me feel so old. I swear, my 3 year old could last longer than me.

With the holidays, and birthdays, we had this past month my work-out schedule was pretty much all over the place. If I could get to the gym I would, if I could run I would, and when I found the time I snuck in P90X here and there. With that being said-it was not steady! And I am pretty disappointed in that. I did not gain any weight, and have the same measurements, but wish I could have had more time. (Don't we all!)

So, today I figured I would get back on track. The hubs went back to work today, so I figured our routine would as well. Wrong! Little Miss Bella is now teething. So sleep is a thing of the past. And so dearly missed. Her naps are not consistent, and she ofter wakes throughout the night. So soon after she finally started to sleep through the night! As I started my workout of the day-Core Synergistic-I heard cries from her room. And here I thought she had been asleep. So I let it go for a few minutes to see if it would stop. No luck. I get her up, rock her, try again...and nothing. So the swing it was. She was finally content and I snuck back into my room for round 2. I got 30 minutes more into the video and she decided she didn't like being alone anymore. So even though I didn't get to finish the entire video I still feel more accomplished than I have as of late. And my abs, ass, and legs sure do hurt! In fact, I am surprised it was that hard! I guess taking a break like I did really put me back.

So...I will just keep going and eventually get to a level I like. The only way I will get better is if I find a way to keep at it every day, and stop missing days in a row. Wish me luck!

November Goals

Even though the month is nearly half over I forgot to share my goals for November. For October I did not reach my weight loss goal but I did lose inches I wasn't expecting. So time to move on from there. My goal for November was to lose 8 pounds and to continue my daily walking or running. I am getting bored with my DVD's so I also want to expand my horizons and try a new workout. I am thinking I will try something online first to see if I like it, and then go from there. Gotta love YouTube, right? No need to waste money!

With my lil one now crawling around I feel like I am getting a workout in itself between consistently chasing after her, and then sprinting when my 2 year old suddenly gets quiet. That's a scary moment right there ya know. Quiet toddlers are never a good sign. Unless they are sleeping. Then I embrace it. Especially if they both happen to take their nap at the same time, I go crazy! I usually don't know what to do with myself. It has been happening more often lately and I hope it doesn't change back! It's rather nice having time again just to myself. Even if it isn't for long, it's just amazing.

Busy Busy

It's been kind of chaiotic here lately. Last week I did really good with working out every day. My shortest walk/run was 3 miles and my longest was 5. I was very proud of myself. This week has been a different story. Monday it was storming and Tuesday I had to shadow someone at a prospective job. Yesterday Bella had her 6 month check up and today she was feverish and cranky. So needless to say I have not had any workouts outdoors this week. And I am going stir crazy! Don't get me wrong, DVD's are great, but I need to get out and so do the kiddos. Nico just goes crazy when he doesn't have that outside time.

Tomorrow I have an interview!! It is with the company I shadowed at on Tuesday. I am so so nervous. They perform behavioral event interviews and I have never had an interview like that before. I just hope I stay calm and don't let my nerves get the best of me. I would really REALLY like to get this job!!

Halloween was great. Nico was Buzz Lightyear and Bella was a Unicorn. They were just the cutest. I think Bella got just as much candy as Nico did and she didn't even have a bucket and was sleeping!! People just kept putting it on the stroller, like she can really eat a chocolate bar at 6 months?! lol Oh well, they were kind. Nico and the hubs enjoyed it for sure.

Here is Bella at 6 months! Showing her true personality...she would NOT smile for the camera at all.

And had to throw in a few Halloween pictures..

Grease be gone!

I came across Pinterest a while back and have been addicted since then! Every time I have a minute to get on the computer, or my phone, I immediately find myself going to Pinterest. It's horrible, and yet so beneficial. I find out how to do things that I have never even thought of. Often it's a no brainer and then I think to myself-why have I been doing this the hard way for so long!

Last week I came across a post on how to remove grease from appliances. And I was in love. I had to run out and get some Cream of Tarter just so I could try it myself and see if it actually worked. And it did!

I have a deep fryer that was in desperate need of a cleaning. My husband is the one that uses it and we all know how careless men are when they cook. It doesn't matter if its the simplest meal, there will be a mess somehow, someway.

Well, my fryer has been used about once every week or so and was really looking grungy. I tried to use cleaners (on the outside only of course), and just regular dish soap. Nothing was taking away the stick residue though. Then I found the answer here

Pure genius!

I will put my pride aside for one second and show you my before and after photos. Don't judge me! :)
